Aside from the Artistic aspect of photography I am also a very technology driven person thus I am constantly researching, looking for the best equipment in order to provide my clients with the best photos possible.
This is my current gear:
-Sony A7R ii:
This is a 42MP Full Frame camera and it has the highest rated Full Frame sensor as tested by DXO. It captures amazing detail! This camera allows me to not only use Sony lenses but also pick from the best of Canon lenses too!
These are extremely important for image quality and they are all top of the line:
-Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L (Creates amazing subject Isolation)
-Sigma 135mm 1.8 DG HSM Art (just came out and its a stunning piece of glass...razor sharp!)
-Sony FE 85mm F/1.4 GM (DXO says it has "Otus-grade performance" !)
-Sony/Zeiss FE 55mm 1.8 (A Zeiss Sony lens..just fantastic)
-Canon EF 35mm F1.4 L ii (the best 35mm 1.4 lens on the market)
-Canon 70-200mm F/2.8 L ii (another fantastic Canon zoom lens..an industry standard)
-Tamron 15-30mm F/2.8 (excellent wide zoom)
*Lights and Modifiers:
Photography is about capturing light and modifiers are essential for creating stunning images.
On everyone of my sessions there will be at least ONE main light. You need lights to control your sessions so your results are consistent instead of dependent on nature and the weather. Have you ever seen photos where the background sky is almost white with no detail? That is what happens when you do not use lights outdoors depending on the subject position. Trust me..you want your photographer to know how to use lights.
So these are some of my lights and modifiers...
-Mola Setti 28" "Beauty Dish" (a legend and Fashion Industry standard..everyone should have at least one photo taken with a Mola!)
-Flashpoint Xplor 600 monolight with several Godox/Yongnuo speed lights for full control
-Westcott XXL Octabox 48" (top of the line modifier)
-SMDV Alpha Speedbox-A90B 36" (awesome modifier with a very round catchlight)
NOTE: All my headshots feature a special reflector tool that creates a stunning catchlight on the subjects eyes that bring the photo to life.
